Eng. Ibrahim Mamoun Ibrahim Hassan
Group Chief Commercial Officer
Mr. Ibrahim joined Sudatel in the middle of 2021, as the Group’s Commercial Head. He has global and regional experience in business and management, including fifteen years in the Silicon Valley, California (USA). There he started his career as a process engineer, at Applied Materials, the world’s largest “Semiconductor Capital Equipment,” manufacturer. He eventually moved on to various product and business functions, within the company. For the last 3 years (of 13 Years at Applied Materials), he was the General Manager of the Photomask Etch Products Unit.
Moving back to Sudan, Mr. Ibrahim served in the country offices of Samsung Electronics (Sudan/East Africa SEEA), first as Head of Marketing and then as Head of the Consumer Electronics business. There he supervised the development and penetration of the local markets for consumer electronics, IT products and mobile phones. His efforts in the development and penetration of consumer electronics markets helped to locally align the Samsung brand and its performance commensurately with its global status.
Mr. Ibrahim then worked as General Manager of Mazeed (agents for Nestle /Froneri) in the field of frozen food distribution, manufacturing and retail.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Science [B.Sc.] in Chemical Engineering (Honors), from the University of Khartoum and a Master’s of Science [M.Sc.] in Chemical Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in the Troy, New York (USA). He has had extensive further business and leadership training, starting with Applied Material’s New College Graduate (NCG) leadership program which recruited him from Graduate school.
He has marked contributions in the field of Semiconductor technology, including several US patents, in the field of microfabrication Equipment.
His many voluntary contributions in the area of entrepreneurship and youth development include assistance with cultivation of the International Entrepreneurship Community (IEC) Sudan chapter.
Mr. Ibrahim is a board member of Gulf Hills (Export Trade), Mazeed (FMCG) and Mugran Consulting Group (Business Consulting) – amongst others.
