Sudatel Telecommunication Group and Chad have signed agreements to link Chad with Sudan’s telecommunication network via fiber optic lines; data traffic and broadband internet services. The signing ceremony that took place at the premises of Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology included other agreements between Chad and National Data Center and National Telecommunication Corporation.
Sudan Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology Dr. Tahani Abd Allah said in the signing ceremony that the leadership of the two countries had agreed on linking telecommunication networks to serve joint interests.
The Chadian delegation has visited Sudatel Telecom Group and met the Chief Executive Officer Eng. Tarig Hamaza who briefed the delegation on STG efforts in Sudan and telecommunication investments in Africa. “The agreements enable Chad to benefit from the Marine Cable and Port Sudan Cables Station,” said Eng. Tarig Hamaza.
It is to be noted that the Chadian delegation has paid a courtesy visit to Sudatel Telecommunication Museum and Sudatel Data Center.
