Sudatel Teleco Academy - Sudacad

Historical Profile

On August 2005 Sudatel Company thought about the establishment of an academy for telecommunications in Khartoum to meet the needs of its cadres and the cadres of its affiliated companies (e.g Sudaservice Co., Datanet Co., Sudanet Co.,Sudabill Co), in additional to the response of some national needs of training in the fields of communication and information. It is resolved to establish the Academy in the buildings of the Communications Training Center affiliated to Sudatel, which is located in Khartoum South near Algorashi Public Garden.

A team work entrusted to prepare a complementary vision which comprised the scheme manager from Sudatel and a consultant from outside the company. The team sent to China, Malaysia, Emirates and Egypt so as to make use of their experiences in training in the communications field. Also the team acknowledged the British experience and knew the modern training patterns of those working in a competitive environment. Then the team prepared an initial vision which comprises three options :

(1) The satisfaction by a unit for training coordination affiliated to the Human Resources Administration.

(2) Retaining of the Training Center with its promotion, development, addition of the operational research activity to it and named a Sudatel Telecommunications Academy.

(3) Establishment of a teaching and training Academy.

The Executive Committee affiliated to the Board of Directors of Sudatel chose the second option, and recommended the concentration on training in the technical and administrative fields in the telecommunications, national training and to have full concern about the operational researches. And the Academy shall be independent administratively

Objectives

Sudatel Telecommunications Academy targets to train and capacity building of the cadres of Sudatel Company and its affiliated cadres(Sudaservice & Datanet & Sudanet & Sudabill) in the communications and information fields, in additional to the full concern with the operational researches. The administrative programs include the management, financial, marketing, sales fields and the company culture.

The Academy undertakes the national training as a contribution in the promotion and development of the Sudanese Community. And the concentration shall be at a rate of 75% on the training of the Sudatel Company cadres and its affiliated companies cadres, and 25% on the national training

Our Vision

It endeavors to become a center for the continuous distinction in training and operational researches locally, nationally and internationally.

The Academy Message:

Provision of high quality training sessions by a feasible cost and corresponding to the training need implemented by skilled trainers by the use of modern laboratories, advanced training means and through suitable training periods. With the follow up for assurance the benefit from the training and the increase of the training returns, with taking care of the trainees satisfaction.
