December 13th, 2022 – Sudatel announced today the appointment of Mrs. Fatou Sow Kane to the position of CEO of its subsidiary, Expresso Telecom, in Senegal.
This is a momentous event for the company as it proudly presents a myriad of firsts – Mrs. Kane is at once, the first female CEO within the Sudatel group and amongst the telecom companies operating in Senegal. She has been with the company since 2008 and has held various positions, amongst them “Chief Enterprise Business Officer,” and most recently “Chief Strategy and Business Planning Officer.”
A 22 year industry veteran, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the Universite Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD) in Dakar.
“This assignment holds a special place in our hearts and embraces our aspirations towards the empowerment of the women of Senegal and the continent,” said Magdi Taha, CEO of the Sudatel Group.
Fatou has her work “cut out for her,” with Expresso aiming to make positive moves in the Senegal market, much as it has today, in its professional arena.
